Elkins Pointe Middle School Band 2024-2025

Fall 2024 Dates

8/21 - 6th grade instrument fittings 4:30-8:00pm
8/30 - Instrument assignment letters go home to students and parents.
9/7 - 6th grade start up clinic 9-Noon at the school (Required)
- This is a required event as we will be bringing in professional musicians
9/20 - 8th Grade Night @ Milton HS (Required)
- Event starts 4:00pm and will end at approximately 11:00pm
9/20- 8th Grade Night @ Roswell HS (Required)
- Event starts 5:00pm and will end at approximately 11:00pm
9/30–Fundraiser Kickoff in Class (All Students)
10/21 - Fundraiser Due
10/24 Cluster Concert Performance at Milton HS (Required)
- 8th Grade
11/14 – 6th Grade Beginning Band “First Sounds” Concert @ 6:30PM (Required)
11/14 – 7th Grade Band Concert @ 6:30PM (Required)
12/7 – GMEA All-State Band District Auditions @ EPMS (we will need many helpers)
12/17-Band Combined Holiday Concert @ 6:30PM with ALL Bands

1/11 -GMEA All-State Band State Level Auditions
2/7 & 2/8 – GMEA District V Honor Band Event
2/25 - Pre Large Group Performance Evaluation Concert for 7th and 8th Grade Bands (Required) @ Roswell HS
2/27 – 3/1 – GMEA All-State Band Event in Athens, GA
3/11- Band Large Group Performance Evaluation at Chattahoochee HS
3/13-3/16 SPRING BAND TRIP (7th and 8th grade)
4/26 - Solo & Ensemble at Taylor RD MS
5/3 - Six Flags Trip
5/10 - 6th Grade Honor Band 2@Roswell HS
5/13 - Band Spring Concert @ 6:30PM

*All required MAJOR CONCERTS/EVENTS are in BOLD for Full Grade Levels.
